Bill Forney, Jr. - A native of San Antonio, Bill
began his career in the oil industry in 1971 with Tesoro
Petroleum. He has been involved in the exploration and production
areas of the industry since 1973 when he moved to Houston
to work for both his father, Bill Forney, Sr., and Red McCombs.
Bill graduated from the University of Oklahoma with a Bachelor
of Business Administration degree in 1970 and received a
Master of Business Administration degree from St. Mary's
University in 1973.
Bill is a long-time member of the Independent Producers
Association of America (IPAA), the Texas Oil & Gas Association,
and the Texas Independent Producers and Royalty Owners Association
(TIPRO).
Ricky Haikin - A native of Houston, Ricky spent
ten years in public accounting with Grant Thornton & Company.
He has been in the oil and gas business with Forney Oil
Corporation, Forney & McCombs, and McCombs Energy since
1980. A Certified Public Accountant, Ricky graduated from
the University of Texas in 1970 with a Bachelor of Business
Administration degree.
Larry Wyont - A native of South Carolina, Larry
graduated from Georgia Institute of Technology in 1968 with
a Chemical Engineering degree. He began his career in the
oil industry working in offshore drilling and completions
for Exxon Company, USA in New Orleans. He then served in
the U.S. Army, Chemical Corps for two years before returning
to work for Exxon in South Louisiana. In 1975, Larry began
working for Houston Oil and Minerals in Houston before joining
Forney Oil Corporation, the predecessor to Forney &
McCombs and McCombs Energy, in 1979.
Charles Forney - A San Antonio native, Charles graduated
from the University of Oklahoma in 1974 with a Bachelor
of Business Administration degree in Petroleum Land Management.
He has been in the oil business since 1974 specializing
in the management of oil and gas properties working as Landman
for Getty Oil Corporation's headquarters (Houston), as Senior
Landman for Shenandoah Oil Corporation's Gulf Coast District
Office (Houston), as Land Manager for JM Huber Oil Corporation's
Mid-Continent Region (Oklahoma City), and the Trust Oil
& Gas Department of Frost National Bank (San Antonio).
Charles has more than twenty years experience with Forney
Oil Corporation, Forney & McCombs, and McCombs Energy.
Phillip Forney - Also a San Antonio native, Phillip
worked for Dresser Industries and Keplinger & Associates
prior to joining Forney Oil Corporation in 1984. He is responsible
for both exploration and development geology and geophysics.
Phillip is both a Certified Petroleum Geologist and Certified
Petroleum Geophysicist. He received his Bachelor of Science
degree in Geology from the University of Oklahoma in 1982.
Billy Forney III - A native of Houston, Billy graduated
from Rice University in 1996 with two Bachelor of Arts degrees
in Statistics and Economics. Prior to joining McCombs Energy
in 2005, Billy worked for Kanaly Trust Company and El Paso
Merchant Energy in Houston, and SMW Trading Co. in New York
City.
Johnny Forney - A native of Houston, Johnny originally
attended the University of Mississippi at Oxford and graduated
from St. Edward’s University at Austin in 2005. He
earned a Bachelor of Business Administration in Business
Management.
